Meet Jared.
Yes, this chair is named after the So, isnโt revival what Jared Goff does? And who fronts Jared at every game? ๐๐ง๐๐ฃ๐ ๐๐๐๐ฃ๐ค๐ฌ. You donโt see one with out the other. So, I give you Jared, the chair, and Frank, the ottoman. They are a bonded pair.
Jared came to me from a lonely place in a clientโs garage where heโd lived for a while. In his prime, over many years, this chair and ottoman provided support and cushy comfort to Mrs. Clientโs husband on game days, and everyday. Snack and beverage in hand, Mr. Client enjoyed spending time in his den focused on a variety of sporting events in comfort and style. Unfortunately, over time the chair became shabby and worn, and then downright uncomfortable. Jared was relegated to the garage where I met him.
This would be the third upholstery go round for Jared, but his strong, solid Drexel-Heritage frame can take being reupholstered again and again. So given a new name, a tweak in the springs, new pads, and new threads, this Jared is back in business in Mr. Clientโs den.
Today Jared is revived and refined in a true taupe woven fabric, B5524 by Greenhouse in Alabaster. Jared features massive 12โ wide waterfall style arms, perfect for balancing that plate of wings as Mr. Client watches ๐๐๐ ๐ ๐๐ง๐๐ ๐๐ค๐๐ work his football magic. Fortunately, our Jared chair is Crypton stain protected for when THE Jared Goff delivers and both ball and beer fly.
By the time I met Jared his back cushion was overly smooshed and resembled a hot dog bun at a childrenโs birthday party. Mrs. Client hated it. Mr. Client just wanted his old chair back. The trick was making a back cushion with the smooshy-ness Mr. Client remembered, and the support Mrs. Client required. I used a soft foam core and wrapped it in the pillow-y cush Mr. Client loved. It's smooshable.
Every star needs a supportive friend โฆ or a whole line of them. The ottoman, Frank, is upholstered in Greenhouse 4280, in Shadow, a performance chenille in a bougie-tough boucle weave. I simply recovered Frankโs well padded frame, as this ottoman had a lot of years left to give. Frank is hunkered down for another season, ready to support.
Next time Mr. Client says heโs going to Jared, it might mean he will be right here. Go, Lions!
